The Toggenburg Region
Toggenburg is located in the high valley between Churfirsten and Alpstein in eastern Switzerland. It is formed by the river valleys of the Thur and the Necker and stretches from Wildhaus to Wil. Toggenburg is strongly influenced by rural customs, with each of the four sub-regions retaining its own character. Alpine Upper Toggenburg is the centre of sound and tourism, the Nesslau and Ebnat-Kappel area is home to a variety of moorland landscapes, the culinary diversity is pronounced in the urban-looking Lower and Middle Toggenburg and the element of wood is particularly noticeable in the gentle Necker Valley. Our property lies in the Alpine region of the Toggenburg amongst the majestic peaks of the Churfirsten mountains with access to Chässerugg/Sellamatt and Wildhaus ski-ing and hiking.
